PANEL TECHNIQUE – LEVEL 3 BBBEE RECOGNITION STATUS PANEL TECHNIQUE since its inception has had black ownership! I have always recognized people for their capabilities rather than the colour of their skin, proven by the fact that since 1991, when I took over the then dormant company, we gave 20% of its equity to previously disadvantaged persons. Today 30% is in the hands of ‘Blacks’! On the 31st May 2007, we registered three of our employees as directors with the Registrar of Companies (CIPRO), two of which are categorised ‘Black” and point out that between them they have 29 years service with the company, which is in keeping with our philosophy, and that of the BBBEE Code of Good Practice, which as I see it, is to uplift those previously disadvantaged persons by giving them the opportunities to uplift themselves! In terms of our Level 3 recognition status, it does give our clients and prospective clients an advantage with their own BEE procurement score card, as explained in the attached letter by Integra Strategies, an independent Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment advisory and transformation company. PANEL TECHNIQUE embraces the Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (BBBEE) Act No 53 of 2003 and the Codes of Good Practice as published, and firmly believes that this is the way forward to right the wrongs of the past by giving the Previously Disadvantaged the opportunities they were not afforded under Apartheid.
